Goring By Sea CC

Founded in 1877, Goring by Sea Cricket Club fields three senior Saturday elevens, a ladies side, a strong colts section and also plays in some social matches throughout the summer.

The club was one of the founder members of the Sussex Invitation League where it enjoyed much success winning the first eleven league title an impressive six times.

In 2008 the first and second elevens moved up a level to play in the Sussex County League and in 2011 the first eleven won promotion to the Second Division. From 2017 the 1st XI play in the Sussex County League division 4 with the Second XI in division 5 West.  The third XI  play in the re-configured West Sussex Invitation League.

The club also runs a friendly Sunday side and some other social matches throughout the year. During the Winter a side is entered into the Worthing Indoor cricket League which Goring CC won in 2017.

Player Recruitment

We are always looking to increase our playing membership and welcome enquiries about joining us.

It may be that you have recently moved to our area and are looking for a new club, or you have had a break in your playing career and want to start playing again. If this applies to you and you are a good standard of cricketer, we are particularly interested in hearing from you!

Colts Section

The club has a thriving and successful colts section. Managed and run by ECB qualified coaches it runs teams in all age groups from Under 11 to Under 16. Practice is on either Monday or Tuesday nights (depending on age group) throughout the season from 6.30pm until 7.45pm.

The club holds its outdoor senior nets on Thursday evenings throughout the season. We have two lottery funded nets and a bowling machine.

The club has a bar that opens every night of the week expect for Sundays. There is an active and friendly social life not only after games but throughout the year. As well as special nights organized by the social committee there is also a winter pool league and a football section.

For further information call the clubhouse on 01903 506293 (all evenings except Sundays).
